Antonina Shevchenko, the Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru as well as mixed martial artist fighting for the UFC within the Flyweight Division. She's now in the Flyweight Division. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina employed her impressive striking ability for the fight to TKO Nievera in the clinch through knees that hit the body. In the aftermath of this win Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight via unanimous decision but lost her second fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina recovered from her loss and defeated Lucie Pudilova during UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the prize of the night in the fight. Shevchenko was 1-2 over the next three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but fell to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
